In this course, we are going to learn about the Constitution and how it established fundamental laws and guaranteed certain basic rights for its citizens in the United States. We will learn about how powers of government are separated across the government, and in particular, the three branches of government that must remain separate: (1) the legislative branch, which is responsible for making laws, (2) the executive branch, which is responsible for carrying out laws, and (3) the judicial branch, which is responsible for upholding laws. We will also learn about the Bill of Rights and its first three amendments.
