In this course, we are going to learn about the Constitution, which is the document that established the new system of government in the early United States. We will learn about James Madison, who is considered the “Father of the Constitution” because he played such an important role in writing this important American document. You will learn about the Bill of Rights, which is an important supplement to the Constitution that James Madison also helped create. The Bill of Rights added changes or amendments, which guaranteed certain rights and protected certain freedoms for all Americans.
